Six guarantees and a ten-year warranty, in plain words.
Every contract carries the same six guarantees and the same written workmanship warranty. This page spells out what each one covers, what it does not, and exactly how you use it if you ever need to.
The guarantees are part of the contract, so they are enforceable like any other clause. We wrote them to answer the six fears homeowners describe most often.
Price lock
The contract price is the price you pay for the scope in the contract. It does not rise because materials went up or because the job took longer than we planned.
Covers
Labor, materials, permits and disposal for the signed scope
Does not cover
Work you add, and hidden conditions you approve from the contingency
How to use it
Compare every invoice with the contract lines; any difference must have your signed change order behind it
On-time or we pay
The finish date is written in the contract. For every working day of delay that we cause, you receive a credit against the final payment at the rate stated in your contract.
Covers
Delays caused by our crews, our scheduling or our suppliers
Does not cover
Severe weather, inspector availability, and material lead times you chose
How to use it
The credit is calculated by us and shown on the final invoice; you do not have to claim it
Clean site, every day
Work areas are sealed with dust walls, the path through the house is protected, and the site is cleaned before the crew leaves each evening.
Covers
Daily cleanup, HEPA vacuuming on dust-heavy days and a professional clean before the walkthrough
Does not cover
Rooms outside the agreed work area that were not protected at your request
How to use it
Send a photo to your supervisor; it is fixed the next morning
Daily update or the day is free
Every working day ends with a written update and photos. If a working day passes without one, that day of labor is credited to you.
Covers
Every scheduled working day on your project
Does not cover
Days when no work was scheduled, which are announced in advance
How to use it
Forward the missed date to your supervisor; the credit is added to the next invoice
Named, background-checked crew
You meet the people who will work in your home before day one. Each of them has passed a background check, and nobody you have not been introduced to is sent to your house.
Covers
Our crews and the licensed trade partners we bring in
Does not cover
Utility company or inspector visits, which we announce
How to use it
Ask any worker for their name; it will match the crew list you received
Milestone payments
After a small deposit, each payment is due only when the matching stage is finished, inspected where required and photographed for you.
Covers
The whole payment schedule in your contract
Does not cover
Special-order materials that must be paid when ordered, which are listed up front
How to use it
Check the milestone photos before paying; nothing is due for unfinished work
The workmanship warranty
Ten years on the work itself, transferable when you sell.
Our written warranty covers defects in workmanship for ten years from the date of the final walkthrough: tile that loosens because it was set wrong, a door that drops because it was hung wrong, a leak at a connection we made. If our work caused it, we repair it at no cost to you.
What it does not cover
Normal wear, surface scratches and settling cracks in drywall that do not affect structure
Damage from floods, fires, storms or impacts after the job is finished
Products you supplied, and changes made later by someone else
Manufacturer defects, which are handled under the manufacturer warranty we register and pass to you
If you sell the house
The warranty transfers to the next owner for the rest of its term. Give the buyer the warranty certificate from your closing folder; they only need to send us the new owner details once.
How to make a claim
Text or email a photo and a short description to the supervisor listed on your certificate
A supervisor visits within five working days, or the same day if water is involved
You receive a written answer: repaired under warranty, manufacturer claim filed for you, or not covered with the reason
Terms in writing
Want these terms on your project? Start with a written estimate.
The same six guarantees and the ten-year warranty come with every estimate we send, before you sign anything.
